I HAVE WORKED PART TIME (18 HOURS PER WK) FOR THE LAST 5 YRS.  I TOLD MY SUPRERVISOR THAT I HAVE TO HAVE SURGERY IN JANUARY AND SHE CALLED ME IN YESTERDAY AND TOLD ME SHE WOULD BE REPLACING ME AND PUTTING ME IN AN ON CALL STATUS WHEN I AM ABLE TO RETURN TO WORK.  CAN I GET BENEFITS FOR THIS?  IT IS NO FAULT OF MY OWN THAT I HAVE TO HAVE SURGERY AND I DONT FEEL IT IS RIGHT FOR ME TO BE PUNISHED BY LOSING MY JOB BECAUSE OF IT.  PLEASE ADVISE ME OF WHAT MY RIGHTS ARE
