I work seasonal and have a lay off period of two mths. I was wondering how soon I should apply for benifits. I have 5 children so it is very important that I am not without income for long. Please help.

Federal law gives each state the option to decide whether or not to allow seasonal workers to take benefits.
Whether or not seasonal employees are covered under unemployment benefits is a matter decided by your individual state. Please contact a representative on one of the numbers provided below to check eligibility.
