We are not affiliated with any unemployment office and have no direct knowledge of your claim.  From what you say - no work for a year - sounds as though you were receiving regular payments.  Then you talk about a claim file - can I correctly assume you received an application for an extension?  If so, it is quite possible they have not been able to process the information due to high unemployment.  You could look at the website for clues - look for claim status if it says inactive or closed I would be more persistent in calling.  Look at payments issued - if it shows payments issued that you have not received it is a little more likely to be a processing delay.  However as you say, bills pile up, keep trying to reach them.  If it is a processing error you want to be sure it is fixed ASAP.
