How will overpayment from a previous year be paid back while still getting new benefits now?

I am applying for benefits now due to layoff, but when I filed I remembered that I owe a previous amount for overpayment from years back.  What will happen?  Will it be applied to the weekly amount and taken out until paid or will I be denied until full payment has been made?  Do you know?

Deductions from your current benefits is easiest.  Check with your state to see what the options are.
